Our Family Team advises and represents clients in all types of family law matters including divorce, financial disputes (including those between unmarried couples) and disputes involving children (including residence contact disputes). The solicitors in the team are also members of Resolution – an organisation which aims to resolve family disputes in a constructive way with the least confrontation.

Grainger Appleyard is proud to introduce its new family law clinic which will provide free initial advice on a whole range of family law matters such as: 

-           Divorce

-           Financial and Property Settlements

-           Cohabitation disputes

-           Children law including contact and residence arrangements

-           Injunctions

-           Local Authority (Social Services) involvement

The clinic has been set up in response to the outcry at the closure of Doncaster’s CAB.  Since 2011 our Family Law team have supported Doncaster CAB by providing free weekly family law sessions. With the demise of legal aid and increasing concern over huge legal bills, many individuals are often afraid to consult a Solicitor. We recognise that the ability to access free and impartial legal advice is a vital community resource. 

It remains integral to Grainger Appleyard’s ethos to assist those within the community when they need it the most. Whilst Grainger Appleyard do not offer pro bono work, we are one of the few firms who remain committed to providing legal aid for those still eligible. For those not eligible we can provide a number of fixed fee packages and flexible payment plans.

The clinic will be staffed by our fully qualified and experienced family lawyers.
