New Lasting Power of Attorney forms

From 1 July 2015, there will be new lasting power of attorney (LPA) forms.
The Office of Public Guardian has confirmed that the new forms for both property and financial affairs LPAs and health and welfare LPAs will be simpler and clearer. It is anticipated that the new forms will be easier to follow and faster to complete.
Both forms will be accepted for the next six months, but from 1st January 2016 only new forms that have been signed after this date must be completed.
If you have signed the old forms, but they have not been registered, these will still be accepted as long as they are signed before the 1st January 2016.
